Saillagouse is within 30 minutes of 9 ski resorts which offer great skiing for all levels. The skiing resorts are varied from the highly commercialised resorts at Les Angles, Pyrenees 2000 (Bolquere) and Font Romeu, the technically demanding St Pierre del Fourcats, to the superb smaller resorts of Formigueres, Puigmal, Puyvalador, , Eyne and Puymorens.
Typically, ski hire and lift pass for the day are 35 Euros, somewhat cheaper than the Alps!
The resorts offer a friendly environment without the hype and hassle of the Alps (and ‘queue free’ in January and March).
There are ‘Ecole du Ski Francais’ ski schools at each resort for group or individual lessons with english spoken.
